The original KRC long run! Every week a variety of routes are proposed leaving from and ending at the week’s meeting spot. After club announcements at 7:25 am, runners set off on their selected route, at their own pace, returning to the meeting spot from 8:30 am onward, for a coffee and a chat.
A message is sent to club members each week, giving the start location and routes for the weekly Goats' Runs. All information is also posted on the KRC Facebook Page and in the Calendar & Events page.
Routes and distances are suggested; runners adapt and change the routes and distances to meet their own training, fitness, or injury needs and the prevailing weather and/or conditions. Walkers are welcome.
Afterwards at the "après run", participants chat, stretch or simply sit around with their BYO coffee and/or snacks. so remember to bring a chair and coffee/snacks!

A dedicated group of runners and walkers is found at the weekly Creekers' runs. These run/walk sessions have been taking place for decades, slowly evolving in form and location.
The group's current metamorphosis is as the "Early Creekers" running on Monday and Thursday mornings. Starting with Spring (Monday March 20th), and continuing through the Summer, leaving from near the EECO building at Mission Creek Park, on Springfield Road. The runs go from there on the Greenway.
Participants who want to, meet for coffee afterwards at Bean Scene. These are very non-competitive run/walk sessions, dedicated to regular exercise and fellowship.
[Over the winter months, when the Greenway is potentially still sketchy underfoot, the group meets near Bean Scene HQ on Dickson Avenue. Runs from there proceed over the Harvey pedestrian bridge, through to and on the Rail Trail ("Grey Way") - watch the calendar for details.]
