The Kelowna Running Club will provide opportunities for the community to participate, recreate and be educated in the sport of running at whatever level they choose.
Our mission is to help bring the community of running to as many people as possible. We host multiple weekly runs, provide group coaching and continue to organize some of the longest standing races in Kelowna.
Registration is now OPEN! The Woody Cross-Town Memorial Pub Relay is taking place on Sunday Sept 12th in beautiful Kelowna, BC in honour of our dear friend Woody. The Cross family, supported by the Kelowna Running Club and the Interior Running Association, has organized a wonderful and fun event that will take teams of runners along a scenic route of 6 Legs which includes running on the Lakefront Promenade, the Bennett Bridge, the Greenway, Mission Creek Park and Knox Mountain. Teams of 6 will dress up in costumes and run through the streets cheering each other on, ending the race together at the finish line of BNA Brewing Co, who has so generously donated their patio for the event. In addition to a very fun day, the race is also a fundraiser for the Woody Cross Memorial Immigration and Citizenship Award, a bursary set up by the Cross Family, a wonderful tribute to Woody’s life and work. By participating in this race you are greatly contributing to this award, and helping a high school student in Kelowna have a better opportunity to continue their education.
*Note! There is also a Virtual Race option, so teams can participate even if you aren’t in Kelowna!
